WHAT IS BALLOONFLY?
A gas balloon that travels on a fixed course. From 150 metres in the air, you can see up to 20 kilometres on a clear day. On the best days, you can even enjoy the snowy peaks of the Tátra mountains in the distance. From the gondola, Széchényi Thermal Baths and Heroes’ Square unfold below you, as well as countless other unusual and unique sights that you will have never seen before from this angle.
Our ticket types have been designed to ensure everyone will find what they need, from child and adult tickets to student groups and prebookings for private flights.
The design of our balloon, which is located on Mimóza Hill at City Park (Városliget), is inspired by Merse Pál Szinyei’s painting, Hot Air Balloon. We can fly up to a ground wind speed of 30 km/h, and can transport up to 30 people if there is no wind.
Our balloon has some impressive characteristics: a diameter of 22.46 metres, and a height of 22.38 metres – an almost perfectly spherical shape.
It has a capacity of 6,500 m³, with two-thirds incombustible helium, and one-third air cells.
Thanks to the noble gas, the balloon is capable of rising as high as 150 metres.
Our flights are organised and carried out by qualified pilots who are experts in flying both gas balloons and hot air balloons.
